Cate - 4 Months

Things are really getting interesting around here!  This month, Miss Cate found her voice.  Between here and brother, Mommy and Daddy can hardly have a conversation.  They are both very chatty.  Cate also started laughing which has got to be oe of the most delightful sounds on earth.  Of course Daddy gets most of her giggles!

She still gets some pretty mean hiccups at least once a day.  I think it's mostly due to worsening reflux. We had to switch her medicine and she pretty much spits out the entire dose of the new stuff (Zantac).  I'm crossing my fingers she grows out of the reflux soon.

Cate has mastered grasping objects this month.  She is really starting to play with her toys.  It's a lot fun watching her to manipulate things in her environment.

Cate's first Thanksgiving started off by being dethroned as youngest grandchild.  We welcome another sweet baby girl to the extended family around 2am on Thanksgiving day.   Baby Everly was almost exactly the same size (height and weight) as Cate Bug.  I told myself I wasn't going to forget how small she was - I lied! I cannot fathom that Cate was every that small!  Good thing I have so many pictures to prove it.  :)

Weighed in at 16 pounds, 1ounce and was 25.25 inches long this month.  Did great with her first round of shots!  Still loving her momma milk.

Dear my Blue Eyed Girl:  Please stop growing.

Love, Mommy.

Halloween 2014

Happy Halloween!  We celebrated this year with Captain America and his sidekick, Rosie the Riveter.   I'm a nerd and I wanted Cooper and Cate's costumes to kind of go together.  Cooper was set on being Captain America - cool.  I just didn't want to put Cate in a super hero costume with a bow and a tutu.  Not my style.  I saw a chambray romper in the baby boy section of GAP and thought it would make a perfect  Rosie costume.  Throw an old school red headband and BAM!  Adorable!
